Gifts in wills

A gift in your will to the General Sir John Monash Foundation is a powerful way to help all Australians meet a more resilient, prosperous and socially cohesive future.

By supporting the Foundation, you ensure talented Australians gain expertise from their chosen institutions and become world-class innovators, changemakers and thought leaders who define Australia’s prosperity – for generations to come.

Why leave a gift in your will?

General Sir John Monash believed deeply in the value of education, leadership and service to the nation. By remembering the Foundation in your will, you honour his legacy and help nurture the next generation of visionary Australians.

Your gift – no matter the size – will create enduring impact by supporting:

  • Australia’s brightest minds, regardless of background
  • World-class education opportunities
  • Leadership that strengthens our communities, industries and public institutions

How gifts in wills make a difference

Your gift will have a meaningful and enduring impact. You can direct your gift to a specific area of interest or leave it unrestricted, allowing the Foundation to allocate it where it is needed most.

You choose where your gift belongs:

  • An open gift to the Foundation: Enables the Foundation to dedicate funds where they are most needed, including scholar stipends and critical initiatives.
  • Support the Scholar alumni community: Help foster connection, collaboration and continued leadership through programs such as the Global Symposia, professional development and ongoing engagement.
  • Establish a named John Monash Scholarship: Honour yourself or someone you celebrate with a named scholarship for one, two or three years.
  • Create a perpetual scholarship in your name: A substantial bequest to our scholarship endowment ensures your legacy lives on, with a John Monash Scholar always carrying your name into the future.

The General Sir John Monash Foundation is a worthy beneficiary in your will. I have the utmost faith in them to manage the funds entrusted to them, providing the best possible post-graduate education for the Foundation’s selected future leaders, honouring the name and legacy of one of Australia’s greatest, General Sir John Monash.
