About Harrison
Harrison is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford. His work focuses on interfacing robotic technologies with biological engineering to design biologically-based solutions to many of the 21st century’s most pressing problems. Robotic platforms that he has invented have been commercialized and distributed widely, with dozens of academic and industrial laboratories worldwide now using his technologies. In 2019 he completed his PhD in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford as a Monash Scholar. His doctoral studies focused on the intersection of control engineering and synthetic biology, with the ultimate goal of designing novel biological systems that perform robustly and reliably in changing environments.
