About James
James holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and the University Medal in Law from Monash University. As a John Monash Scholar, James completed his LL.M. at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, specialising in International Law and Public Interest & Social Justice. James was Associate to the Hon. James Allsop AC, Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia. James has a passionate interest in human rights and public interest litigation and currently works as a litigator in New York. James currently acts for Ukraine in its inter-state proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights, seeking just compensation for the human rights violations suffered by Ukraine’s peoples as a result of Russia’s unlawful aggression and invasion of Ukraine.
