About Nick

For the past decade, Nick has served within various specialised units – which has underscored the importance of strong leadership. His career of military service has emphasised to him the individual, organisational, and community benefits of serving something greater than oneself.

Nick aims to drive positive change within the ADF by researching practical methods to implement the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. His focus is on providing better support for serving and ex-serving soldiers, strengthening leadership training and cultivating a positive organisational culture to help reduce veteran suicide rates.

Nick has a Master of Business and a Master of Strategy and Security from the University of New South Wales. Nick’s proposed study focuses on learning from world-renowned defence leadership experts abroad, to bring pre-eminent defence leadership principles back home and influence positive reform within the ADF with a focus on training, education and culture.
