About Prashanti
Prashanti is currently the Principal Policy Adviser, Aboriginal Health Division, Victorian Department of Health.

Prashanti holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (Honours), Bachelor of Medical Science (First Class Honours) and a Diploma in Languages (French) from Monash University. She was awarded an academic medal for her Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University. She has previously worked as a general practitioner (FRACGP) in a remote community in the Northern Territory. With her John Monash Scholarship, she studied a Master of Science in Social Epidemiology at University College London, where she gained knowledge to work at the intersection of policy, public health programs and clinical practice to address the social determinants of health.
