About Sienna
Sienna Lake is a lawyer specialising in criminal law and advocacy. She completed BA/LLB (Hons) degrees at the Australian National University in 2018 and started her career as Associate to Chief Justice Murrell of the ACT Supreme Court. Following this, Sienna relocated to Kununurra in the East Kimberley, where she worked as a lawyer at the Aboriginal Legal Service WA (ALSWA). In 2024, she completed the MSc Politics, Violence and Crime (Anthropology) at University College London, during which she examined interactions between Aboriginal people and sentencing courts in WA. She is currently a lawyer and policy officer at the ALSWA head office in Perth, where she provides legal advice and advocates for the rights of people in police custody, and supports ALSWA to drive meaningful justice reform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Western Australia.
