Tom Schmaltz

About Tom

Tom is an Earth scientist with a background in physics, geology, and climate science, focused on understanding ice sheet processes that drive sea-level rise. Holding a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney and an Honours degree in Climate Science from UNSW, he will pursue a PhD in glaciology at Scripps Institution of Oceanography to advance satellite research, Antarctic expeditions, and Australia’s global leadership in climate resilience.
