The 2026 John Monash Scholars Presentation Ceremony was held at Government House, Canberra, bringing together scholars, supporters and distinguished guests to celebrate the next cohort of leaders for Australia’s future.
Hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, the evening marked a significant milestone for the Foundation, as the John Monash Scholar community reached 300 individuals. The ceremony recognised 18 outstanding scholars whose studies span fields from science and engineering to law, public policy, and the arts — each united by a shared commitment to service and leadership.
Joined by the Foundation’s Chairman Jillian Segal AO, CEO Ross Youngman and our generous donors and supporters, including the Minister for Education the Honourable Jason Clare MP, the evening was a celebration of this next generation of John Monash Scholars and their networks of support.
Set against the historic backdrop of Government House, the event was a powerful reminder of the Foundation’s mission: to empower talented Australians to pursue postgraduate study at the world’s leading universities and return equipped to create meaningful impact for Australia.
