Huw Pohlner

About Huw

Huw is a senior water sector and business leader with over 15 years’ experience delivering complex, high-stakes policy, strategy and transformation projects for governments, utilities, businesses and international organisations. Prior to his time as a consultant, Huw held roles at the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, Asialink (University of Melbourne), China Policy, and the Australian National University. Huw has lived and worked for extended periods in Australia, China, Malaysia and the UK.

Huw used his General Sir John Monash Scholarship to complete an MPhil Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford and previously graduated from the Australian National University with a Master of Law Governance and Development and PhB Asian Studies Hons. Huw’s research on water governance in China has been published in several academic journals. Huw is a co-founder of the Australia-China Youth Association.
