
He is currently the Head of Rural Medical School at the University of Notre Dame. His research interests include the application of innovative imaging technology to reduce inequitable access to rural health and screening for chronic disease in rural and remote communities. He is an Associate Professor at the University of NSW and teaches at the UNSW and Notre Dame Medical schools. He runs a research group interested in various aspects of heart failure and is also the director of the Royal Agricultural Society Public Health Unit. He works to promote rural access to specialist care and expanding medical research capacity in rural and remote centres.
