Michaela is developing innovative surgical laparoscopy and intravital microscopy techniques at Johns Hopkins University to enhance the visualization of nerves and blood vessels in clinical settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Western Australia and was recognised as the Global Winner in Engineering by the Undergraduate Awards in 2018. Building on these achievements, she recently completed a PhD in Physics at the University of Cambridge as a John Monash Scholar focused on innovative medical imaging and engineering technologies.
