Tom is a urological surgeon practicing in Adelaide. He graduated with honours from the Adelaide Medical School, and then travelled to the United Kingdom as a 2011 John Monash Scholar to complete a PhD in surgical robotics at Imperial College London. During his doctoral studies he was involved in the development and patent filing of novel flexible robotic platforms for endoluminal surgery. On returning home to South Australia, he commenced surgical training first in paediatric surgery and then urology. After being awarded fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he completed a sub-specialty fellowship in paediatric urology at the Southampton Children’s Hospital. Tom enjoys all aspects of adult and paediatric general urology in clinical practice. He is an accomplished clinical academic having published more than 70 original peer reviewed papers. Tom holds an academic title at the University of Adelaide and public hospital appointment at Flinders Medical Centre.
