The Foundation is pleased to announce that Simon Atkinson has been appointed Chair of the Advisory Board of the John Monash Foundation Leadership Academy. Simon succeeds Professor Sir Edward Byrne AC who announced that he would retire from the Advisory Board on appointment of a successor. Simon has also been appointed as a Non-Executive Director to the Foundation Board.

Simon Atkinson has deep experience in public policy, national security and economic affairs. He brings a passionate interest in and understanding of leadership to the Foundation from his experience within the public and private sectors. His high-level expertise across multiple fields, together with his deep knowledge and experience of leadership, make him an outstanding individual to lead the strategic direction in the next chapter of the John Monash Foundation Leadership Academy.

The Foundation wishes to thank Sir Edward Byrne for Chairing the Advisory Board for the initial period of the Academy’s existence and establishing it as the next major step in the development of the Foundation.
